Charging and Remissions
In line with current legislation, the governors agreed a policy on charging for certain activities.
- The governors and staff recognise the valuable contribution that a range of additional activities, such as educational trips, can make towards pupils’ academic and social development.
- The governing body, in wishing to promote such activities will, at times, invite parents to make voluntary contributions. These will be kept to a reasonable amount.
- The governors will ensure that all children are able to take part irrespective of their circumstances.
If there is a case of family hardship, parents are invited to apply in confidence for the charge to be borne partly or in full by the school. Such requests will be treated seriously, sympathetically and in absolute confidence.
