Your brand new online classroom is available here! Try the new daily Bitesize lessons for Year 5 and Year 6! Oak Academy also offer a lesson schedule.

We recommend that pupils complete one piece of English and maths a day whilst children are unable to attend school.

Reading would be our absolute top priority for you - do aim to read at length everyday! 

Do read the latest copy of 'First News' - an excellent newspaper especially for primary school children.

Talk4Writing have produced helpful reading into writing workbooks for each year group: Year 5A, Year 5BYear 6A, Year 6B.

Basic skills including reading, spelling, handwriting, times tables and mental maths should also be practised in short bursts of ten to fifteen minutes.

The National Curriculum gives detailed advice about what is to be learnt at each age and stage.

Alongside completing English and maths, we suggest you switch off the computer and take your learning in different directions.

For example: you could plan and cook the evening meal with an adult, draw, sketch, or paint, learn a craft or a language, a musical instrument or take part in sports activities in the garden.
