Join Our Team – Forest School Leader (Maternity Cover) 

Are you passionate about outdoor learning and inspiring children through nature? We are looking for a Forest School Leader (Maternity Cover) to join our dedicated team and lead enriching outdoor learning experiences that spark curiosity, confidence, and a love for the natural world.

In this exciting role, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality forest school sessions, working closely with pupils and staff to foster learning through exploration and hands-on experiences in our wonderful outdoor setting.

Willow Class (Year 1 and 2)

Children in Year 1 and 2 are expected to complete a phonics or spelling, English, maths and wider curriculum lesson each day. These will be for up to 30 minutes.

Between lessons, children can take part in a physical activity, go for a walk or read a book.

Please upload any work completed onto Seesaw.

Spelling

Choose a suffix game to play. Now choose 4 words and write them in a sentence using the suffix.

Practice reading and spelling the Year 2 common exception words. Now put them in a sentence.

Maths

Choose a video and watch it.

Share what you have learnt either using objects in your home or writing/drawing your learning.

Wider Curriculum

Who was the first person to walk on the moon?

Create an information page about the moon landing. Design, label and then make your own space rocket.

What is the UK?

Choose one country within the UK. Create a fact file about this country. Draw a map and locate the country and capital city.

Year 2 – can you label the seas around the UK?

How do Christians show they care?

Create a poster to show how Christians show that they care. Include how you show that you care.

A visit to a Synagogue

Read the information on the link about Judaism. Then sort the images to show which belong to the Jewish faith and those that don’t.
