We are delighted that you are considering Astley School for your child. Please ring the School Office if you would like to make an appointment to visit the school and meet the Headteacher.
If you live in Worcestershire and your child is due to start school in Reception in September 2027, the online system for making an application is open. Applications for Reception places should be completed by 15th January 2027. Further details about making an application are available here.
If you would like your child to join Astley School at any other point in their primary school career, you must apply online using this link: School Admissions
If you reside outside of Worcestershire but wish to apply to a Worcestershire school, you must complete an application provided by the Local Authority relevant to the child's home address. Your Local Authority will ensure that application details are passed onto Worcestershire LA for consideration in the allocation of school places.

Consultation on admission arrangements for 2028-29
As part of the Department for Education’s School Admissions Code, schools are required to consult on their admission arrangements at least every 7 years. In line with this guidance, we are consulting again without any significant changes to our proposed admission arrangements for the academic year 2028-29.

The consultation period is open for 6 weeks from 19th October 2026 to the 30th November 2026.
If you wish to comment on the proposed admission arrangements for 2028-29, please write to the Clerk to the Governing Body, Astley CE Primary School, School Lane, Astley, Worcestershire, DY13 0RH or email clerktogovs@astley.worcs.sch.uk with the heading “Admission arrangements 2028-29 consultation” as the email subject header, by Monday 30th November 2026.
