Welcome to Oak Class!
Oak Class prepares pupils for the transition to secondary school, supporting them to become confident, independent learners.
We provide a rich and engaging curriculum, with opportunities for leadership, responsibility and deeper learning, helping pupils to achieve their full potential.

We encourage parents to check Seesaw regularly for updates, including information about trips, pupils’ work and achievements, and important class messages. If you have any problems accessing your Seesaw account, please let us know via the class email.
Remote Learning
If your child is unable to attend school, please see the information below for guidance on remote learning and how to access resources at home.
Children in Year 5 and 6 are expected to complete a reading and spelling, English, maths and wider curriculum lesson each day. These will be for up to 45 minutes.
Between lessons, children can take part in a physical activity, go for a walk or read a book.
Please upload any work completed onto Seesaw.

Practice your addition and subtraction. Choose a video and watch it. Share what you have learnt by recording your calculations and learning. |
Year 5 Spend 10 minutes playing Times Table Rock Stars Year 6 Choose the Math section and complete one test. |

Wider Curriculum |
What was life like in Roman Britain? Read the information about Roman Britain. Create an information page about Roman Britain. Include a title, sub-heading, glossary, drawings and captions. |
Explore sustainability and plastics Use the information from the website above to understand the impact plastic has on the world. Write a persuasive speech to show your viewpoint for this statement. Plastic bags should still be given out for free from shops. Use evidence to back up your point of view. |
